The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Graphics Standards Manual is a reissue of the NASA “worm” identity guidelines, designed by Richard Danne and Bruce Blackburn in 1975.
The hardcover book features scans of the original manual (from Danne’s personal copy), a foreword by Danne, essay by Christopher Bonanos, and many supplemental materials that build the story around the identity and its downfall in the 1993.
Designed by Order and published under our imprint, Standards Manual.
The book arrives packaged in a thermally printed, static shielding pouch.
High resolution scans are printed with a stochastic screen in CMYK + 5 Pantone spot colors, ensuring the original page color and ink are reproduced with accuracy.
The reissue also includes rare 35mm slide scans from Danne & Blackburn’s initial presentation to NASA in 1974.
