Reception Bar
Reception is a Korean cocktail bar in New York City, specializing in uniquely flavored cocktails and non-alcoholic elixirs. Order was tasked with everything from designing printed collateral and environmental graphics to naming each of the drinks on the beverage program.
Drawing inspiration from the bar’s name and traditional Korean ingredients, Order designed an identity that balances simple typography with tight crops of archival Korean postage stamps.
Collaborators
During the research phase Order uncovered a vast collection of Korean postage stamps that mirrored the herbal ingredients of Reception’s cocktails and elixirs.
Each stamp was scanned at high resolution, in order to produce enlarged crops of each illustration across several versions of printed collateral.
